Mexico City’s GNP Seguros Stadium has been crowned the world’s best concert stadium in the 2025 Pollstar Mid-Year Top 50 Worldwide Stadium rankings. It led a strong Mexican showing, with three venues in the global top five.

The stadium, formerly known as Foro Sol, hosted 26 concerts during the evaluation period from November 2024 to May 2025. It generated an impressive revenue of US $135.3 million and sold over 1.5 million tickets, surpassing prestigious international venues like Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium and Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.

The 65,000-capacity venue has welcomed major international stars including Paul McCartney, Shakira, Metallica, Bruno Mars, and Eric Clapton. Its upcoming schedule includes:

  • Return performances by Shakira
  • Appearances by Dua Lipa
  • Eight sold-out concerts by Bad Bunny

Originally opened as a concert venue in 1993, the stadium also served as home to the Diablos Rojos de México baseball team for many years. It underwent a major refurbishment and was officially renamed from Foro Sol to Estadio GNP Seguros on June 18, 2024, following an agreement between OCESA (Mexico’s largest live event promoter) and GNP Seguros.

This marks the third consecutive time the venue has topped Pollstar’s rankings, having previously claimed the top spot in 2022 and 2023.

Other Mexican venues also earned high rankings:

  1. Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional secured second place with over 1.1 million tickets sold worth US $67.3 million.
  2. Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex ranked fourth with 658,167 tickets sold worth US $38.2 million.

This strong showing by Mexican venues highlights the country’s growing importance as a key destination for international touring acts.
