Upcoming Golf Courses in Los Cabos: A New Era for Golf Enthusiasts

Los Cabos is set to enhance its golfing landscape with three new golf courses scheduled to open by 2026. This marks the end of a six-year pause in development, raising the total number of courses from 18 to 21. This expansion is poised to rejuvenate an attraction central to both tourists and potential homeowners.

The new courses include:

  • Tiger Woods’ The Legacy Club at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas
  • Tom Fazio’s Campo Alto at Querencia
  • Ernie Els’ Oleada Golf Links

These courses are expected to feature distinctive layouts that highlight the Baja California peninsula’s natural allure, offering stunning views of the Pacific Coast and lush desert landscapes.

Significantly, The Legacy Club will host the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technology Championship in 2027, underscoring the importance of these developments in attracting international events to Mexico. However, environmental concerns have led to the halt of David McLay Kidd’s Baja Bay Club project near Cabo Pulmo’s protected marine sanctuary. Additionally, plans for a second Jack Nicklaus course at Quivira are currently on hold.

These new courses reinforce Los Cabos’ commitment to securing its status as Mexico’s premier golf destination by combining world-class design with the area’s natural beauty.
